Atilla Arda Beşen

Atilla Arda Beşen is the founder and CEO of VolareVers, a cutting-edge technology company specializing in XR (Extended Reality) and AI-driven solutions for education, defense, energy, and industrial sectors. Under his supervision VolareVers has developed groundbreaking technologies, including corporate virtual campuses and immersive XR-based simulations and software for spatial data analysis aimed at redefining professional development and operational training across industries. 

Beşen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Istanbul University and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Warsaw. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in International Relations at the University of Warsaw, focusing on Global Technology Governance, particularly in AI and the Metaverse. His academic research delves into the ethical and regulatory implications of emerging technologies while investigating their transformative potential in learning and beyond. 

In addition to his academic pursuits, Beşen has extensive experience in leading think tanks and startups, as well as working in multinational corporations like Accenture Poland, across various business sectors. His expertise spans XR technologies, virtual worlds, market scalability, and AI governance, with a particular emphasis on using immersive technologies for learning and development. 

Beşen is also establishing XR Polska, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to fostering the XR community in Poland. Through this initiative, he aims to build a collaborative ecosystem for XR professionals, bridging innovation and networking opportunities within the region. Additionally, he is an active member of XR Türkiye, further contributing to the global XR ecosystem by promoting innovation and collaboration across borders.

With a vision centered on creating accessible, immersive, and ethically sound technologies, Beşen combines practical knowledge with academic insights to drive innovation. Recognised for his contributions, he has been a speaker at various international forums and continues to advocate for the responsible development of technology as a force for good. 

Outside of his professional life, Beşen is a passionate rock music enthusiast, a skilled guitarist, and an avid oratorio practitioner. His creative pursuits complement his technological and academic endeavors, enriching his holistic approach to innovation and collaboration.
